Description
Now that my partner for the Under the Sea Swap at the MLPArena, , has her pony with her, I can now post the photoshoot I did for it!
Meet Bicolora . Her name comes from the fish on her DS, named "Bicolor Parrotfish". She was inspired by the Great Barrier Reef, which is a place my partner mentioned in her questionnaire that I love too . Looking around the pictures I found on google images, I remembered the Parrotfish was a beautiful fish with very vibrant colors, and coincidentally it also lives in the Great Barrier Reef, so both ideas worked well while being geographically accurate . Since she also mentioned she wasn't a big fan of ponies with 3D cutie marks or anything sculpted that wasn't wings or merpony tails, I chose to do a very detailed paint job on her pony and have fun with it! ^^ I also included an extra fun character on the non-display side of her, just to put up that side to good use .
Her body was first covered with a base of white gesso, and then completely hand painted with acrylics, with the help of acrylic medium to make glazes and transitions ^^. She was then sealed with clear glossy sealant. She was rehaired with Old Bubblegum and Mermaid for the head, and a mix of Forget Me Not, Water Hyacinth, some strands of Moonlight, and I think I also added a bit of Mermaid, for the tail xD. This was my first custom on a G3 base, and I'm VERY happy with it!!
Hope you all like her!!
