FS Trixie - Sculpted clothing version by DeeKary FS Trixie - Sculpted clothing version by DeeKary
One of two ponies made as a commission for the awesome, incredibly patient :iconraborn: :).

Trixie was made from a Twilight Sparkle. She was given a full body repaint, rehaired with Dollyhair's Daiquari Ice and Virgin Snow, and sealed with Testors. Her clothes are made with a mesh armature and Apoxie with a bit of felt lining around the edges to avoid scratches on the pony. The cape is made of 2 pieces that stay together with tiny magnets on the two fitting sides.

Here's the link to the rest of her photoshoot: [link]

Hope you like her! :D

Her eyes don't seem to have any grooves... how did you do that?

looks very impressive and well done. The only thing that feels a little off is her eyes don't feel particularly smug. then again I'm only seeing one eye at a time in these pictures and it looks like she may be rolling her eyes or looking away as someone is talking to her cause she doesn't feel like they deserve her undivided attention. but I can't tell cause there is no head on pic of her.

That's really cool. I just got my own Trixie figurine and I want to make my own hat for her. Do you have a tutorial or recomend one? I've never used apoxie before so I don't know what to expect.

Well honestly I didn't use any kind of tutorial :) all I did was use the basics of clay sculpting: shape a wire mesh armature/skeleton (in this case in the shape of the hat) and apply layers of apoxie little by little. The shaping and details of what you're sculpting are up to you.

Here's a wing sculpting tutorial so you can get an idea of how to work with wire mesh and Apoxie :) [link]

That is excellent. Those are by far the best sculpted clothes I've seen.
